Biomass Based Rubber Sponge - Manufacturer

Biomass based rubber sponge is the newly developed biomass based polyisoprene sponge. By screening the main raw materials of polyisoprene rubber and fatty acid ester, adding non-metallic minerals, chitin and biomass based carbon etc, it is transformed into biomass based polymer sponge. Biomass-based rubber sponge, used to replace petroleum-based or mineral-based rubber sponges, minimize the use of petrochemical raw materials and the extraction of minerals, and minimize the impact on the environment.

Our biomass based rubber sponge has passed the bio-based certification of the USDA Bio-Preferred program of the United States Department of Agriculture (bio-based content 45%). In the initial development stage, Biomass based rubber sponge has high hardness and insufficient ductility, and is mainly used to make shoe materials and bag materials. In 2023, through continuous R&D and improvement, our company successfully developed the second-generation biomass based rubber sponge (BIO-2), which has greatly improved softness and ductility, and can be used to make wetsuits.
